Amazon.com launches Kindle electronic book reader

Amazon.com launches Kindle

Online retailing giant Amazon has confirmed that they are now going to launch an electronic book reader device named Kindle.

This device would feature wireless Internet access capabilities.

Amazon Kindle would retail for $399 and owners would be able to download media for it online through a wireless connection.

Amazon added that the device has enough capacity to carry about 200 books downloaded from Amazon.com.

They plan to sell these books for around USD 10 each.

Amazon.com Chief Executive Jeff Bezos had this to say on the Kindle: “The question is can you improve upon something as highly evolved and well-suited to its task as the book? And if so, how? It has to disappear.”
