AT&T to offer Samsung SLM Napster compatible mobile phone

Samsung SLM

US based telecom giant AT&T has announced that they are all set to launch their first mobile phone that would support Napster service.

The company would be launching the Samsung SLM mobile device on November 23.

Samsung SLM is a clamshell-style phone which comes loaded with a 2 megapixel camera, 512 MB of onboard memory, a 176 by 220-pixel internal display, Bluetooth wireless networking, microSD storage for music libraries and photos, and advanced messaging option.

The phone would allow the user to connect to Napster Mobile store. They would be able to sample, purchase, and download songs from that digital media store.

AT&T’s VP of product development Carlton Hill spoke on this announcement: “The SLM by Samsung represents the best collection thus far of our music, multimedia and messaging services—just in time for the holidays. Gift-givers will want to slide this slim device into stockings all season.”

AT&T added that this would also be the first phone from them to support AT&T’s mobile banking application. They are currently supporting Wachovia and SunTrust Banks customers.
