Sony BMG Music Entertainment collaborating with Yahoo

Sony BMG Music Entertainment has announced that they have now signed on a deal with the internet company Yahoo.

The two companies would now allow web users to upload files with music or video content feature artists signed to Sony BMG on Yahoo services.

Sony BMG would get a part of the advertising revenues generated from these media content online.

This deal would also allow Yahoo to deliver Sony BMG owned media content via Yahoo player applications and widgets.

Sony BMG has several major artists linked to them including Britney Spears, Bruce Springsteen and Slayer. They are already involved in a similar deal with Google and YouTube.
