PayPal Secure Card service launched
PayPal is collaborating with MasterCard to launch a new service named PayPal Secure Card. It would enable their customers to make payments on Web sites that don’t accept PayPal directly.
This new software application would recognize when a user lands on a payment page on web store. It would then help the user fill out the form in a secure way.
This application would generate a unique MasterCard number to be filled on these checkout pages which would let the user shop on sites which does not accept PayPal otherwise.
Chris George, director of financial products for PayPal spoke on this new innovation: “From a merchant’s perspective this looks like any other MasterCard transaction. And it’s just another PayPal purchase to the customer.”
