IAC now looking at China for growth
IAC/InterActiveCorp has announced that they are now aiming to expand their presence into the Chinese market for growth.
The company is planning to invest $100 million within a year to expand its presence in rapidly growing Internet market.
Baidu.com is the currently market leader when it comes to web search. Google is working hard on catching up with them.
A company representative said: “We certainly have enough capital to do damage. I think about $100 million.”
IAC is considering the possibility of acquiring a local company. But the first preference for them would be establish on their own.
