Blockbuster talking to mobile companies for movies on mobiles
Movie rental chain Blockbuster has revealed that they are currently in talks with all the major mobile phone makers to develop technologies to allow mobile users to watch movies on the move.
Blockbuster Chief Executive James Keyes said in a statement: “We’re talking with virtually all of the major manufacturers about the opportunity to provide greater mobility and convenience.”
He said that with the help from RIM, he is currently able to watch movies on his Blackberry mobile device. He also happens to be an owner of the Apple iPhone which is capable of playing video files.
Apple iPhone allows the user to download movies from Apple iTunes and transfer them on the mobile device to watch them on the move.
