A-Star: New concept car from Maruti Suzuki for India

Maruti Suzuki India has announced that they would be showcasing their new concept car product named A-Star at the upcoming Auto Expo 2008 show in Delhi.

This car has been developed in collaboration with the parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation.

This model is a premium hatchback and the company aims to launch it in India sometime in 2009.

Incidentally, this is the same car that is likely to be exported to international markets from India by Nissan.

A-Star also happens to be the first concept car product to be showcased in India by Suzuki. This car is likely to get a global launch sometime in 2010 and would feature a 1.2 liter to 1.6 liter engine.

Maruti is also likely to showcase at the upcoming Auto Expo a new mid-sized concept sedan named Kizashi.
