AOL to now use Amazon video sales technology

AOL has announced that they are now scrapping their own video selling platform and would instead now use Amazon’s platform.

Amazon added in a statement that they would be sharing revenues with AOL through this deal.

Fred McIntyre, senior vice president of AOL Video said in a statement: “It’s really about focus. AOL, as a company, is in the process of shifting our focus for our primary business and everything we do towards an advertising business.”

No details were revealed on whether the AOL Video platform was successful for the company till now or not.

AOL launched their video store in October last year.
