MySpace to sell live studio recordings through MySpace Transmissions program
MySpace has announced their MySpace Transmissions program through which they would now get musicians to record a live studio session and Q&A with the company.
These video and audio recordings would then be sold online.
Warner Music Group artist James Blunt is the first artist to use this program to make available content online on MySpaceTV.
MySpace is now offering five tracks recorded in the studio session on sale through their social networking platform.
Josh Brooks, VP of programming and content for MySpace spoke on this new program: “Transmissions takes our existing music programming to the next level by creating a unique way to expose users to exclusive content while empowering artists and labels with a new way to generate revenue on MySpace.”
