Microsoft to add advertising to MSN Mobile

Software giant Microsoft has said that they would now sell advertising to be placed on MSN Mobile.

MSN Mobile is their mobile portal where users can get the latest news and also check their emails.

Microsoft said that these ads would be served by their own mobile advertising platform. The company is also going to be helped from their earlier acquisitions aQuantive and ScreenTonic.

Some of the early advertisers on this platform include Paramount Pictures, Jaguar and Bank of America.

Microsoft said that the mobile web surfers would get to see small graphics or text ads. The sizes would depend upon the device being used to access the portal.
