Bebo launches open platform for third party developers
UK’s most popular social networking portal Bebo has now launched their own open technology platform for outside software developers.
The company further announced that they are working with 40 partners to provide applications for users on the site.
Bebo said that their platform is compatible with applications developed for the Facebook network. They are also supporting the OpenSocial initiative launched by Google.
Ziv Navoth, Bebo’s vice president of marketing added in a statement: “This makes it very, very easy to take the applications they have developed for the Facebook platform and import them to the Bebo platform.”
