Shah Rukh Khan to feature in Nokia advertising
The latest news from the mobile market in India is pretty amusing. Nokia has now roped in Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to feature in their advertisements.
This is amusing because Nokia is the dominating player in the Indian market by a comfortable margin and they have few reasons to get SRK to promote the already popular brand.
Devinder Kishore, director (marketing), Nokia spoke about this new development: “As a brand we have always ranked high on facets such as reliability, authenticity and our image among the youth, something which Shahrukh too stands for.”
Interestingly, SRK is the first major celebrity to be endorsing Nokia mobile devices in the Indian market. Naseeruddin Shah is one exception having featured in some Nokia promos.
