Apple planning volume control feature on iPod
As per market sources, Apple seems to be working on developing a volume control device for its iPod range of digital media players.
The purpose of this device is likely to keep track of the listening habits of the user and control the volume of the media automatically so as to prevent users’ hearing.
The device is also likely to keep track of the time between two listening sessions to device if the volume is to be switched back to original levels.
Apple has been criticized in the media for not taking steps to make sure that the users of their iPod players do not end up damaging their ears by listening to loud music continuously over a long time.
