Honda’s India based two wheeler unit has announced that they are going to launch a new automatic scooter at the upcoming Auto-Expo.

This product has been developed specifically for the Indian market.

The company also plans to launch a new motorcycle during the first half of next fiscal.

A company representative said on these plans: “HMSI has jointly developed a product with Honda Japan specifically for the Indian market. We would unveil the product at the auto expo followed by a national launch in February.”

Reports in the market also suggest that the company is planning to enter into the Hero Honda’s territory by launching a 100cc motorcycle in 2008-09 fiscal.
