HBO on Broadband: HBO to offer downloadable media content
TV channel HBO has announced that they are going to launch today a new service to allow subscribers to download TV shows and movies.
This new service would be called HBO on Broadband and it would offer a large library of media content.
Time Warner said that it would be made available to Time Warner Cable high-speed Internet customers in Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The service would be free for the customers of HBO and HBO on Demand.
HBO spokesman Jeff Cusson added in a statement: “As more viewing occurs on the broadband platform we want to make sure we provide that option to the HBO subscription.”
They are aiming to offer 600 titles each month out of which around 400 would be available at any given time.
