MySpace and BBC collaboration on media sharing deal

MySpace has announced that they are going to work with the UK based BBC on a content sharing deal.

They are planning to bring some of their programming on their web based service to give it a global platform.

This is incidentally the first such deal for MySpace with a major network.

Market analysts say that this deal would help MySpace in their aim of becoming an online media hub providing all sort of content like video, music.

Incidentally, BBC has been already working with Google to provide some of their programming content to their online video sharing website YouTube.

Simon Danker, director of digital media for BBC Worldwide spoke about this deal with MySpace: “With the global nature of the deal, this is a great opportunity to put the best shows from the BBC in front of new audiences.”
