Dell and Microsoft to raise money for (Red) initiative
Apple is already doing it. Now Dell is going to work along with software giant Microsoft to sell a special range of personal computers to contribute to the AIDS treatment programs in Africa.
This deal would be formally announced at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos.
Dell is likely to offer special crimson-red versions of its XPS line of PCs for this special initiative. These machines would be powered with Microsoft’s Vista Ultimate (Product) Red.
They would contribute a part of the cost of these machines to the (Red) project which was started by Bono and Bobby Shriver.
Motorola is another tech company which has been part of this initiative since sometime.
