Yahoo could now launch a DRM free digital media store
Market sources claim that the internet giant Yahoo is now considering plans to open up a digital media store to offer the much in demand DRM free music files.
They could either sell them or offer them for free through an advertising supported service.
Amazon.com recently sprang a surprise on the current players in the market by launching such a service. They are providing media from all the major media companies.
A Yahoo spokesperson said that the company has always been interested in such a service and they have been interacting with media companies.
However, they did not confirm whether they are already working on such a store which could open up sometime later this year.
