Sony Ericsson R300i, R306i, T270 and T280 launched in India
Sony Ericsson has launched two new entry level mobile phones in the Indian market as they aim to take on Nokia, Samsung and Motorola.
These two phones are R300i and R306i and they are specifically designed for the Indian mobile customer.
The company said that these two phones will be manufactured at the company’s mobile phone manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai.
These are being priced between Rs 3,500-5,000 and these would be available on sale later this year.
In addition, Sony Ericsson also launched two other models T270 and T280 in the market. Sudhin Mathur, general manager, Sony Ericsson Communications (India) added on their plans for the Indian market: “India is an important market for the company and Sony Ericsson plans to achieve a sales target of 10 million handset from the India by 2009.”
