Palm to close down their retail stores
Palm has announced that they would now close down their retail stores as they aim to concentrate on their core competence.
The company said that they would close down all of their eight branded retail stores, as well as its 26 stores within Airport Wireless shops.
Bill Hughes, an analyst at In-Stat spoke about this Palm announcement: “This doesn’t really surprise me.”
Palm has been struggling in the Smartphone market and had recently announced their decision to not launch Foleo Smartphone companion product.
They have been working on a new software platform for their Smartphone products which they aim to use in their future products. That too is taking too much time leading to delays in the launch of new products.
