Google takes on domain kiting
Search engine giant Google has said that they are soon going to take steps to take on domain kiting practices prevailing on the internet.
The company would start by introducing a system to detect domain kiting. The company is likely to lose revenues with this initiative as their advertising system is the one used on these domains to generate revenues.
Google however believes that this initiative would earn them user trust and goodwill as it would probably help in cleansing of the internet.
Google said in a statement on their decision: “We have long discouraged domain kiting as a practice. In order to more effectively deter it, we are launching a new domain kiting detection system. If we determine that a domain is being kited, we will not allow Google ads to appear on the site. We believe that this policy will have a positive impact for users and domain purchasers across the Web.”
