Google might be interested in setting a base in Malaysia
Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has said in a statement that the US based search engine giant Google is considering setting up a base in the country.
He said while speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos: “They want to make their presence felt in Malaysia. It will be a big boost for our ICT industry. I was told that Malaysians formed the highest group of Google users in Southeast Asia.”
Market reports have been claiming that Google is looking at three nations: Malaysia, India or Vietnam to establish the world’s biggest server farm.
Malaysia has been working hard on establishing themselves as a major destination for IT companies.
