Dell to close down all their U.S. kiosks
Dell has been working hard to improve their presence in the US retail market. The company has however now announced that they are now going to close down all of its 140 U.S. kiosks.
These kiosks were launched in 2002 and were used to showcase their computing products. Dell is now focusing on selling their products through retail stores in the market.
Dell is now selling their computers through retailing stores like Wal-Mart, Carrefour and GOME Electrical Appliances Holding.
Dell spokesman Bob Kaufman said in a statement on this announcement: “We recognized early on that customers really wanted to touch and see the products before they purchased them. That led us to the kiosk model. Now, customers can touch and feel our products before buying them at one of our retail partners.”
