Google Universal Search now available in South Korea
Search engine giant Google had launched their Universal Search initiative last year on their international search engine.
The company has now added that functionality to their localized search engine in South Korea.
South Korea is one of the few markets where Google face intense competition from local players and they aim to boost their popularity by making available this new functionality.
Lee Won-jin, managing director of Google Korea said in a statement that they have now adopted universal search for the Korean-language services.
Lee added in a statement: “The interface change will distinguish us from other search engines in Korea, where growth potential is huge given its broad base of Internet users. We’re not setting any domestic market share target, but we expect the new services will help.”
