Apple MacBook Air processor to arrive in PCs
Apple recently showcased their MacBook Air notebook computer which they claim is the thinnest machine of its kind in the world.
The company gained by using a miniaturized Core 2 Duo processor supplied by Intel. This processor at the moment is exclusively available in the Apple MacBook Air machine in the market.
Now, PC Manufacturers around the world are considering developing products based on this new chip.
This could result in competing machines which are smaller and lighter compared to current generation of notebook products.
Intel spoke about the reports that they are now supplying these chips to other companies: “If other OEMs are interested in this 65-nanometer Core 2 Duo processor, we are welcome to talk with them.”
