Comstar UTS has announced that they are now building a new mobile broadband network in Armenia.
This network is going to be powered with the WiMAX technology. Comstar’s president, Sergei Pridantsev spoke on this initiative: “We intend to launch the network this year and, therefore, become the first and the largest wireless broadband Internet operator in Armenia.”
They are going to use technology and equipment provided by Airspan Networks for this network.
They aim to launch the services based on this network within this year itself. They aim to provide cover to as much as 75 percent of Armenia’s population.
