GM showcases 2009 GMC Sierra hybrid
US based automaker General Motors has now displayed their hybrid pickups. The company showcased the 2009 GMC Sierra hybrid which they claim would give a 25 percent improvement in fuel economy without compromising performance.
GM also displayed the GMC Denali XT concept which they claim could give 50 percent better fuel economy than a comparable small pickup.
Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon along with Chevrolet Silverado have already been showcased by the company with hybrid engines.
Green Car Journal had named the Chevrolet Tahoe as their 2008 Green Car of the Year recently.
GM spoke about the 2009 GMC Sierra hybrid that it is capable of driving up to 30 mph on just electricity.
