Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation accuse Intel of patent infringement
Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation has revealed that they have charged the microprocessor company Intel of patent infringement.
They claim that Intel is using their patented technology that is used by them to improve the efficiency and speed of computer processing.
Their complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
They are looking for compensation from Intel for this infringement so as to ensure that the interests of the UW-Madison and its inventors are protected.
The problem lies in the Intel’s highly successful Intel Core 2 Duo microarchitecture which they claim infringes on their United States Patent No. 5,781,752.
