Nokia to use Google Search technology on mobile devices
Nokia has announced that they are collaborating with the search engine giant Google. The world’s largest mobile phone maker would now incorporate their search engine into their Nokia Search application.
This means that Google would now join its rival services Yahoo and Windows Live on the Nokia platform.
Nokia said that they would start offering this updated solution in selected markets in the coming months.
Ilkka Raiskinen, vice present for software and services at Nokia spoke about this deal with Google: “This integration allows our consumers the ability to use the innovative search technologies, which have made Google almost synonymous with Internet search.”
Nokia added that they have been supporting Google services through their products since quite some time. Nokia N95 8GB was they claim the first mobile device to fully support their video sharing service YouTube.
