Yahoo acquires Maven Networks video service
Internet media giant Yahoo has announced that they have now completed the acquisition of online video service Maven Networks Inc.
The deal is worth around USD 160 million and comes at a time when they have just rejected an acquisition offer from the software giant Microsoft.
This deal also is the latest in a series where the company is working hard to boost its online services to enhance its revenues through online advertising.
Maven Networks provides a service where television and movie studios can show up their media content online and generate revenues.
It currently works with companies like CBS Sports, Gannett Co., News Corp., Hearst Corp. and Sony Pictures.
