Microsoft and Pfizer coming to aid of Viagra spam victims
One of the most frustrating experiences online is when you counter spam. Mail spam continues to decrease productivity in offices and cluttering internal networks of companies and online networks continuously. Viagra still remains one of the most common products, which is advertised through SPAM. And if the efforts being made by the software giant Microsoft and the drug maker Pfizer prove successful, these SPAM might become a thing of the past.
Both these companies together filed 17 lawsuits against the most prolific spammers involved in Viagra related activities in the New York and Washington state. These spammers claim to be selling cheaper variants of the hugely popular drug and other products from the drug giant. Statistics show that one out of 4 spam messages worldwide relate to these Viagra related products.
Both these companies have been involved in this effort since the last seven months collecting data and proof against these networks who misuses the Internet for causing nuisances to innocent users by spamming their inboxes hard. One of the names involved in the network is a company named CanadianPharmacy, which tries to portray itself a legitimate online pharmacy.
Let us hope, they succeed into their efforts considering spam is not going to decrease unless some concrete actions are taken against the people who make profit from it.
