Now AOL said to be in talks with Yahoo!

Microsoft started it all when they announced a bid to acquire Yahoo!

Market sources claimed that the company had been in talks with Google, News Inc. for a possible deal to avoid getting acquired by Microsoft.

The latest rumor in the market is that even AOL is in talks with Yahoo! for a possible collaboration.

Yahoo! has already rejected the bid from Microsoft though it is unlikely to end here. Microsoft has stated that they are going to continue pursuing an acquisition deal.

Both Yahoo and Microsoft are struggling to compete against Google in the online search and advertising space.

Google incidentally is one of the investors in AOL.
