Honda is working on a new car for Indian market
Japanese automaker Honda has confirmed that they are indeed working on a next generation car model for the Indian market.
However, this car is not being designed to take on Tata Nano or any other similar model.
Masahiro Takedagawa, President & CEO, Honda Siel Cars India said in a statement: “We don’t like 660 cc engine cars. They are too small, we don’t consider them cars.”
Honda is also scheduled to bring their eighth-generation Accord in India this year. In addition Honda Civic Hybrid is also planned for launch sometime this year.
The company has also begun the construction of their second plant in the country.
