Microsoft Windows Live SkyDrive launched
Microsoft has finally opened up its free online storage service named Windows Live SkyDrive. It has been under beta testing since last couple of months.
The company said that the service provides up to 5 GB of free storage in password-protected servers.
Users have the option to save the files privately or share them with their friends or even everyone.
They would be able to access these files from anywhere by just using a web browser connected to the internet.
The closest rival to this service from their major competitors is the Yahoo Briefcase service which provides just around 25 MB of free space.
