YouTube suffers outage in several regions
YouTube confirmed that their service was not accessible in some locations on Sunday.
The company added that the problem was due to erroneous routing information introduced by a Pakistani Internet service provider.
Pakistani ISPs are blocking access to the service over a particular video which is hosted on the video sharing service.
YouTube said: “We have determined that the source of these events was a network in Pakistan.”
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority had earlier asked the ISPs operating in the country to block access to a video hosted on the service. Apparently, the ISPs ended up blocking access to the complete site.
