Apple iPod Shuffle 2GB now shipping

Apple has confirmed that they have begun shipping their recently launched iPod Shuffle 2GB edition.

This variant of their smallest iPod model cost USD 69.

They had dropped the price of the 1GB Shuffle model from $79 to $49.

Apple claims that the iPod Shuffle 2GB model is capable of storing up to 500 songs encoded at 128Kbps using AAC format.

The 2GB model is identical to the smaller capacity edition and is available in silver, blue, green, purple and red.
