Apple iTunes now second largest music retailer in USA
Apple continues to climb up the charts. The company has now become the second largest music retailer in the US market. Wal-Mart remains the only company which is ahead of them.
As per the latest figures from NPD, Apple iTunes has now overtaken Best Buy in this market.
Apple also mentioned that they sold a phenomenal 20 million songs on the Christmas day last year.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes added: “We’d like to thank the over 50 million music lovers who have helped the iTunes Store reach this incredible milestone. We continue to add great new features like iTunes Movie Rentals to give our customers even more reason to love iTunes.”
At this growth rate, it would be long before Apple becomes the largest music retailer in the US!
