Sony showcases BDP-S350 and BDP-S550 Blu-Ray players

Toshiba has conceded defeat to Sony in the next generation storage format war.

Sony has now responded to this victory by launching a couple of new Blu-Ray players.

The company showcased their BDP-S350 and BDP-S550 models.

Sony said that the BDP-S350 player would ship this coming summer season. It would retail or $400.

The company added that the other model BDP-S550 will ship in the fall for about $500.

Sony said that both of these new models are capable of supporting Bonus View for viewing picture-in-picture content. Both of these players also support an external port for adding local storage.
