Baidu sued for copyright infringement in China
Music Copyright Society of China has filed a lawsuit against the leading search engine company in the Chinese market Baidu.com.
The lawsuit is related to copyright infringement as the group claims that Baidu provides music listening, broadcasting and downloading services in various forms on its Web site without approval.
They are also claiming that this free search service has resulted in online music providers closing down their operations in the region.
international Federation of Phonographic Industries had earlier filed a lawsuit against Baidu accusing them to provide services enabling online copying.
