YouTube Live Video to challenge Yahoo! Live

There are several services already which provide a Live Streaming service to the web users.

Yahoo recently joined that segment of the market with the experimental launch of Yahoo! Live.

Now Google owned video sharing service YouTube wants to be a part of it.

YouTube co-founder Steve Chen has said in a statement that they aim to launch a live video service this year.

He added that they had always planned to launch this kind of a service but there were lack of resources to make it possible.

With Google acquiring YouTube, the company has adequate resources to launch such a service.

He said: “Live video is just something that we’ve always wanted to do. We’ve never had the resources to do it correctly, but now with Google, we hope to actually launch something this year.”
