Google Health Service to feature no ads
Search engine giant Google is working on their Google Health service which would provide an online destination for users to store their personal medical information.
Critics had said that this service could become a privacy issue as Google’s own advertising platform is based on placing advertising which matches the content on a page.
Google has now stated that their Health service would feature no advertising.
Company CEO Eric Schmidt said in a statement: “Our model is that the owner of the data has control over who can see it. And trust, for Google, is the most important currency on the Internet.”
He added that no data would be shared without the consumer’s consent.
