Active sales have dropped off because the design is getting out of date, just like the Nova, and there is new stuff. Why hasn't Indian manufacturers learned to improve the models every year with improved design changes and features, rather than just putting on a new sticker? Duh! At least Bajaj is getting it right on with their motorcycle brands.

Oh ya. This is a little sad but a bit better over the boring Suzuki Access. Yes, why the smaller engine? The rear design is almost as ugly as the Nova, and I own two. But the 135 CC engine is great, and the front end doesn't seem to fall apart as easily as the Activa. Don't be the first to buy a new product. Usually there are a lot of problems to work out.

tim is absolutely right. what is the need for another 102 cc scooter. i think it would be another activa with a change in suspension. honda should bring in real motoscooters to india which is a safe bet for young riders and also will help long journeys [i.e. people who visit out of town units, business around 50 to 100 km away, like chennai to mm nagar, ranipet, etc]. the poorest roads of chennai or for that matter any damn city/town in india demands bigger wheels, with the comforts of a scooter for fatigue free safe driving. i have a honda DIO and its jerk and vbiration in chennai roads is unbearale and i have right to say the above. honda honchos should do a favour to indian youth by bringing in affordable moto-scooters [not namesake one like dio] and save people from premature death.

not sure what the need for another 100cc scooter from Honda in India is... they already have the hugely poplar Activa that has a waiting list to purchase one. why offer another same-size scooter? why not go after the scooty pep segment (50-75cc)? or why not offer a bigger scooter since the trend in India seems to be going for larger cc nowadays.
