Asus Eee PC 900 with a 9 inch screen showcased

Asus has showcased their latest edition of the EEE PC.

The latest variant is named Eee PC 900 and it comes loaded with a 9 inch display.

The company showcased this new model at the ongoing CeBIT 2008.

Asus said that they managed to fit in a larger screen by utilizing the space previously reserved for the speakers.

The speakers have now been placed underneath the machine. The company claims that this would not affect the quality of the sound from the device.

Asus further claims that the battery life of this model would be similar to the earlier editions despite the larger screen.

The model displayed at the event was loaded with a 12GB SSD. They plan to sell the model for around 400 Euros though it is not sure how much space the final unit would feature.
