Steve Jobs believes Flash is not suitable for Apple iPhone
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been quoted as saying that the iPhone does not support Flash because it is too slow for the device.
One of the major criticisms over the Apple iPhone Safari web browser is the lack of support for the Adobe Flash technology.
Flash is very popular on the web and is used for a variety of purposes including interactivity and online video broadcast.
Jobs said that Flash Lite is not feature rich enough while the full fledged Flash is too slow for the iPhone. He added that Adobe should have something that provides the best of both worlds.
It is however not clear whether Apple is working with Adobe to create a version of Flash for the iPhone. We would have to wait and see. It is unlikely that we would see iPhone supporting Flash’s rival technology Microsoft Silverlight anytime soon.
