BBC iPlayer launched for Apple iPhone
BBC has announced that they have now launched their iPlayer application for the Apple iPhone device.
The application is also compatible with the Apple iPod Touch device.
The news media group said that this is the first time that the service is made available on mobile devices.
BBC iPlayer for iPhone would be able to stream the BBC Programming through Wi-Fi internet connection.
BBC further said that they are now working on releasing their iPlayer for other mobile platforms.
Company representative Anthony Rose said in a blog post: “We started with iPhone because it is the device most optimized for high quality video currently available. It displays the BBCiPlayer site and BBC programmes nicely.”
