Google completes acquisition of DoubleClick
Despite the protests by rival companies including Microsoft, Google has now confirmed that they have completed the acquisition of DoubleClick.
Google had announced their desire to acquire DoubleClick last year in April.
The company has received the required approvals from the US and European governments for this acquisition deal.
The search engine giant said in a blog post on future plans: “We know that DoubleClick is built on the strength of its people. For this reason we’ll strive to minimize the impact of this process on all of our clients and employees.”
Google further said: “DoubleClick gives Google the leading platform for display advertising, enabling us to rapidly bring advances to the market in technology and infrastructure that will dramatically improve the effectiveness, measurability and performance of digital media for publishers, advertisers and agencies.”
