Apple denies rumors that Beatles is coming to iTunes

Apple Inc has said that the rumors that Beatles catalog is coming to Apple iTunes are not true.

The company said in a statement: “This is not news nor is it a scoop.”

Market sources close to Sir Paul McCartney had been claiming that a deal has been signed and the music from Beatles could soon be available as digital downloads.

Paul McCartney’s solo catalogue is already available in digital form online. He had recently said that the Beatles’ music is expected to be made available online for sale sometime in 2008.
