Wal-Mart stops selling gPC in stores
US based retailing giant Wal-mart has said that they are no longer offering the Everex’s gPC Linux desktop in its stores.
The company continues to sell it through their web based service.
Wal-mart gave the reason for the discontinuation: “This really wasn’t what our customers were looking for.”
Incidentally, Wal-Mart had earlier said that the first stock of these machines was a fast sellout at their stores.
They had experimented selling this machine in about 600 stores. The company admitted that the sales online were more effective compared to selling them in their stores.
They are however still carrying the gPC2 and Everex CloudBook.
