Toyota says that Fuel-cell cars still some time away

Toyota is one of the world’s leading automakers. The company has said that it will take years to make Fuel-cell cars commercially viable.

All the major automakers are working hard on eco-friendly technologies to make automobiles which use different sources of energy.

We already have hybrid cars available in the market which uses a conventional engine along with an electric motor.

Toyota Motor Corp. president Katsuaki Watanabe spoke about the future: “When we first started the research and development of fuel-cell cars, some people predicted that they may be commercialized by around 2010. But that’s difficult. The technological advances are significant. The only problem is the cost.”
