Sources claim Microsoft and Yahoo met to discuss merger
Market sources are claiming that Microsoft and Yahoo officials have met for the first time after the software giant announced their bid for the internet media company.
However, this meeting was not related to any negotiation talks. Instead Microsoft is said to have presented their future plans after the possible merger to Yahoo officials.
The two companies have declined to comment on this rumor in the market. Wall Street Journal was the first media company to report this.
Yahoo has been working hard on avoiding getting acquired by Microsoft. The company has already rejected their initial $42 billion bid.
